24.11.2021 | With the virtual Open Day "Innovation for Flexibility" the solutions proposed as part of the Greek demonstration was presented.

Mechanisms for the exploitation of flexibility services in the power grids is at the forefront of the effort for the Energy Transition and reversal of climate change at a regional and international level.

Platone deals with innovative ways to link the different players of the energy market (aggregators, prosumers etc.) via efficient and trustworthy data sharing, enabling the DSOs to benefit from increased flexibility and observability of their grids.

On November 24 2021 from 10:00 - 12:30, EET(2,5h) Platone consortium partners HEDNO and NTUA, coordinating the Platone demo in Greece, hosted the Platone Open Day "Innovation for flexibility", where the Platone project and the solutions proposed as part of the Greek demo, were presented.

Furthermore, the following H2020 projects were presented, namely:

  • X-FLEX (Integrated energy solutions and new market mechanisms for an eXtended FLEXibility of the European grid)
  • PARITY (Prosumer AwaRe, Transactive Markets for Valorization of Distributed flexibilITY enabled by Smart Energy Contracts)
  • Smart4RES (Next Generation Modelling and Forecasting of Variable Renewable Generation for Large-scale Integration in Energy Systems and Markets)
  • SYNERGY (Big Energy Data Value Creation within SYNergetic enERGY-as-a-service Applications through trusted multi-party data sharing over an AI big data analytics marketplace)
Two parallel interactive sessions took place, concerning:
  1. Flexibility mechanisms: Market and Tariffs
  2. Data and flexibility: Needs and Challenges
