07.12.2021 | Probably one of the most said lines in business for the past 2 years has been "you're on mute". At the Enlit it was time to ‘unmute’ ourselves and for 3 days immerse in meetings, learning and doing business face-to-face.

Our Platone project joined the Enlit 2021, taking place from 30 November until 02 December at Rho Fiera in Milan, Italy.

Together with Horizon 2020 partner projects, Platone was part of the EU Project Zone. Due to the still ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the fair in general may not be as highly visited as on past occacions. Representatives from our consortium partners Avacon, BAUM, Engineering and RWTH Aachen gained a variety of really insightful at the Enlit and had interesting exchanges about our project approach, the status of our Platone demonstrations as well as about the Platone solution.

Additionally Platone joined a panel discussion of the BRIDGE initiative on the topic of "Interoperability and data exchange to support the digitalisation of smart energy systems". The panel discussion took place at the theatre of the EU Project Zone. Ferdinando Bosco from consortium partner Engineering had the chance to first give a brief overview of our Platone project and then discuss together with representatives of the projects of EUniversal and Interrface what is needed for further digitalisation.

Above that, the Enlit was a nice, given occasion to meet some of the Platone consortium partners live again after all the time in which only digital meetings took place.

Platone also joined an episode of the Enlit Projects Podcast Series that will go live during the first quarter of 2022. So stay tuned!

About the Enlit
ENLIT activities have been running all year round however, the physical event will take place from 30 November – 2 December 2021 in Milan, Italy. Enlit is the inclusive guide to the energy transition. From source to generation, from grid to consumer, the boundaries of the sector are blurring and this evolution is being shaped by established players, external disruptors, innovative start-ups and the increasingly engaged end-user. Enlit Europe (former European Utility Week & POWERGEN Europe) brought together all of these people to seize current opportunities, spotlight future ones, and inspire the next generation to participate in the journey.
