21.06.2021 | European Joint RDI - Platone demonstrations portrayed as Large-Scale Pilots in OPEN DEI Energy Pilot Explorer

As an active participant in the H2020 project OPEN DEI we are happy to officially share the publication of the Energy Pilots Explorer booklet.

This booklet is the result of the OPEN DEI Energy Working Group "Use-Cases Explorer”. The goal of this Working Group is to analyse the pilots activities of the projects involved which are InterConnect, INTERRFACE, BD40PEM and Platone. Thus the three Platone demonstration sides in Italy, Greece and Germany are portrayed.

The Large-Scale Pilots of each participating project are described according to two representations:

  • Manifesto, which envisions the values provided by the Pilot
  • Ecosystem Map, which depicts pilot stakeholders, defines functionalities, and illustrates data flows

Background OPEN DEI

What is OPEN DEI?

OPEN DEI is a H2020 project for aligning Reference Architectures, Open Platforms and Large-Scale Pilots in Digitising European Industry. It aims at leveraging synergies, identifying gaps, sharing best practices, reinforcing regional/national relationships as well as putting in place the necessary joint measures to implement common dissemination, communication, training and exploitation action plans among the Innovation Actions (IA) selected projects and their Large-Scale Pilots (LSPs).

How is Platone involved in OPEN DEI?

OPEN DEI has created several Working Groups related to specific topics to serve the interest of the involved projects. Platone supports OPEN-DEI's work by providing information and participating in Working Groups. Prof. Monti's Automation of Complex Power Systems institute at RWTH is responsible for the Energy Domain in OPEN-DEI. Consortium partner E.DSO is participating in WG1 on Use cases. Platone partner Engineering is leading OPEN DEI WG2 on Shared Infrastructures and likewise participating in WG4 on Technical Topics. Additionally, BAUM is participating in WG3 on Linking Eco-systems. The active participation of Platone partners allows continuous exchange of the best practices with other projects focused on digitalisation and put in place the necessary joint measures to implement common dissemination and communication.
