Platone at GlobalBSG´s 2nd Annual Asset Management Summit

In April 2022 our consortium partners E.DSO and ENG represented Platone at the Asset Management Summit for Electricity Providers.

Under the title "Building Efficient Asset Management Strategies while moving into a Comprehensive Digital Transformation” the Business Solutions Group, GlobalBSG, invited for its second edition of the Asset Management Summit for Electricity Providers from 21 til 22 April 2022. The event originally planned for October 2021 was postponed to April 2022 due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Kirsten Glennung from E.DSO together with Ferdinando Bosco from Engineering Ingegneria Informatica Spa provided project insights under the title "Platone: Smart integration for market innovation – Innovation for the customers, innovation for the grid”. The key elements of the presentation was the decentralisation as a key to the future for the grid management and the blockchain Technology as a game changer for the decentralisation and customer inclusion and the Platone solution itself, the Platone Open Framework.

The summit united energy industry leaders and experts to elaborate on the best practices and lessons-learned on the changing and developing mechanisms of asset management. Industry professionals exchanged ideas and experience regarding the main challenges of their field; such as fine-tuning the overdue upgrades while holding down costs and rates to satisfy international customers, gaining visibility and control over operational risks to ensure sustainability. Such an exchange allows industry professionals to make the precise decisions on capital investments, operation and maintenance, resourcing strategies and value realization.
