At the InnoGrid 2021 we provided latest insights into Platone! On the 2nd day of the annual appointment on European innovation in power networks titled "Beyond sandboxes” a selection of EU funded projects showcased how they are boosting the transition.For
its 10th edition - ‘Living the transition’ – InnoGrid highlighted the
paramount role of networks in the energy transition and how they are
enabling it today. It also allowed the audience to learn more about
leading EU funded R&D projects that contribute to the transition by
developing innovative solutions to renewables’ integration,
digitalisation, flexibility and new market opportunities.
On 4 June, the participants debated how to incentivise innovation, how flexibility markets act as vehicles for renewables integration and how innovation supports energy system integration; with a focus on electromobility.
On 11 June, "Beyond sandboxes”, a selection of EU funded projects showcased how they can accelerate the transition. Platone was represented in the projects session on "Innovating in asset management” by our Greek Demo Leader HEDNO with Stavroula Tzioka. Innovative approaches to the assets on both DSO and TSO level were at the centre of this session.
